Now this is ‘the’ event I have been waiting for; The Thursday Murder Club being turned into a film! I hope it’s as good as the book (keeping all my fingers crossed I won’t be disappointed). The film will be showing at limited cinemas in the UK on 22nd August 2025, and then available to stream on Netflix from 28th August 2025.

The cast of The Thursday Murder Club includes Helen Mirren as Elizabeth, Celia Imrie as Joyce, Pierce Brosnan as Ron and Ben Kingsley as Ibrahim, fondly known as The Thursday Murder Club. From what I have seen in the trailer that’s the perfect casting, especially Helen Mirren.

That’s quite cast in that list too!
The film is directed by filmmaker Christopher Columbus and he is quoted to saying ‘this is the finest cast I’ve worked with since Potter‘ (Harry Potter).
